Manufacturing facilities in California and across the United States often have strict guidelines in place in order to protect the health and safety of their employees. However, there are unexpected situations that may arise that can still result in workplace injuries. In fact, a surgical team was required at the scene of an accident that occurred at one out-of-state facility.
The incident happened at approximately 10 a.m. on a day in early January. According to an official, two forklifts collided at VAP Packaging Management. As a result, a man’s extremity was pinned.
The surgical team was called to the scene to help with the extrication process. Afterward, the man was transported to the hospital for treatment. Many of the details surrounding the accident, including what caused it, are unclear. However, an investigation into the incident is likely being conducted.
Since a surgical team was required to aid in in the man’s extrication, it is likely that he is suffering from serious workplace injuries. He may face on long road to recovery, including surgery and physical therapy, that can lead to significant financial stresses.
