These accidents could happen under a variety of circumstances, and the exact nature of the incident could have an impact on the type of injuries suffered.

California residents may be interested in a recent work-related accident that took place in another state. Details on the accident itself were few, but it was reported that two construction workers were involved in the incident. Apparently, the two individuals fell approximately four stories while performing construction duties on a big-box store. At the time of the report, it was not clear what caused the accident.

Both workers were injured in the incident and taken to an area hospital. Unfortunately, one individual did not survive the injuries suffered. The other person was considered to be in stable condition. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was investigating the incident at the time of the report, and more information on the accident may be available at a later time.

When a worker dies due to workplace injuries, the surviving family may have many questions. In particular, they may wonder how to address the financial struggles that may accompany their loss. If qualified, California residents in this type of situation could obtain workers’ compensation benefits. Additionally, individuals who suffered injuries but survived may also have the opportunity to obtain such financial assistance.
