Falls contribute to numerous construction accidents

Falls can often lead to injuries, even if individuals do not fall from a significant height. Of course, when there is a considerable height involved, the injuries that result can prove even more serious or possibly even fatal. For individuals in the construction industry in California or another state, falls are a common risk on the job, and many construction accidents involve this type of incident.

One man in another state was recently injured in a construction accident. Reports stated that the man was working as part of a construction crew on a building that was several stories high. It was unclear where in the building the man was at the time, but he fell 12 feet and landed on the seventh floor. It was also unclear what may have caused him to fall.

Because the man was so high off the ground, emergency crews had to use an aerial apparatus to lower the man from the seventh floor to the ground. He was transported from the scene to an area hospital. At the time of the report, it was not detailed what exact injuries he may have suffered, and his condition was not known.

Construction accidents are always unfortunate events as they can potentially put numerous people at risk of injuries. If California workers are involved in accidents relating to falls and suffer injuries, they may face many struggles in the aftermath. Fortunately, when it comes to the financial difficulties that will likely result, injured workers may have the ability to qualify for workers' compensation benefits that could help address monetary issues resulting from a work-related incident.
