Fall through roof leads to construction injury

Many California workers feel confident that they can complete their job duties correctly. They may go to work each day and face the risks and hazards associated with their jobs without letting fear impede their tasks. Of course, even if individuals do not fear their jobs, they are not immune to potentially suffering a construction injury.

It was recently reported that a worker in another state suffered injuries after an accident on the job. Reports stated that the man had been working as part of a construction crew on the roof of a structure. It was not detailed what type of specific tasks that man may have been attempting to complete while on the roof. Nonetheless, the man fell through the roof and landed over 40 feet below.

It was unclear what may have caused the roof to give way. Emergency crews responded to the scene to attend to the man. It is presumed that he was transported from the scene to an area hospital as the report indicated that the worker suffered serious injuries. Fortunately, those injuries were not considered life-threatening. Additional information on the incident may become available at a later time.

When a worker suffers a construction injury, there is a high likelihood that financial struggles will result. Fortunately, workers' compensation can often help qualifying individuals make ends meet financially. However, obtaining these benefits is not always straightforward, and California workers could face hardships along the way. If parties would like assistance in working toward obtaining such benefits, they may want to consider enlisting the help of knowledgeable attorneys.
