Any time a person in California must work around power lines, there is the potential for an accident. Unfortunately, such contact can have serious consequences. For example, police in another state have released information regarding an accident involving workplace injuries caused by electrocution that resulted in a man’s death.
According to reports, the accident happened one morning on a day in mid-September. The worker, a 37-year-old man, was said to be using a concrete float as he worked to install a driveway. Unfortunately, the float is believed to have come into contact with a metal ground stake and overhead power lines.
Rescue workers say the man was unconscious when they arrived on the scene. They transferred the injured man to the hospital, but he ultimately passed away as a result of the injuries he suffered in the accident. The sheriff’s department is working with a variety of different of organizations as is it investigates the fatal accident.
It is difficult for those who have not experienced such an unexpected loss to fathom the toll that an accident such as this can take on a family.
