Workplace injuries send man to hospital

The potential for injury is present in all workplaces. While dangers are more obvious in some occupations in comparison to others, every employer faces the potential of suffering from workplace injuries. As a result, all states, including California, require employers to have a financial security net in place that allows workers' compensation insurance benefits for employees who are hurt or become ill on the job. One out-of-state man may qualify for these benefits after an accident send him to the hospital.

Construction accidents: Worker electrocuted during renovation

There are hundreds of different hazards that the average person in California faces every day. Many of these hazards come from the workplace. While some precautions can be taken to safeguard workers, many construction accidents, for example, still happen. In one out-of-state incident, workers discovered the body of one of their co-workers. He died as a result of a workplace accident.

California workers ill from heat deserve workers' compensation

Workers in California are likely aware of the potential for dangers in the workplace.  Construction workers know of the need for hard hats, and police officers are aware of the importance of bulletproof vests. However, many outdoor workers may be unaware of the potential for harm from working in the heat. Those suffering from the effects of such an illness may qualify for workers' compensation benefits.

Man suffers fatal construction injury in workplace accident

There are many known risks involved in working in the field of construction. For these risks, employers can take safety precautions to help reduce the chance that employees will suffer from a construction injury. Unfortunately, no precaution can protect a California worker from all of the risks that could potentially be encountered. For example, one man was recently killed in an out-of-state accident caused by a shard of pipe.

Construction accidents: 1 killed, 1 injured in stadium fall

While many jobs have certain risks associated with them, it is easy to overlook the dangers that construction workers face. Unfortunately, construction accidents pose a real risk to workers in California and across the country. For example, a recent incident at an out-of-state workplace killed one man and left another seriously injured.
