Apparently, an explosion occurred that resulted in the roof of the plant collapsing. The incident occurred in the morning, but details were not clear on what caused the explosion. It was suspected that methane gas was involved, but an investigation into the exact cause was ongoing.
The explosion resulted in at least 10 individuals suffering injuries. At least two workers were trapped in the debris, and the first rescue took approximately 20 minutes. It took over two hours to rescue the second worker because emergency workers had to dig six feet down and tunnel about 20 feet to reach the trapped worker, whose leg was stuck under a beam. The injured workers were taken to various hospitals to receive treatment.
