Some construction workers may have nightmares about suffering serious injuries on the job, but they go to work nonetheless. According to reports, two construction workers were utilizing a lift in order to perform duties at height on a chicken plant being built. Somehow, the two workers fell from the lift basket and landed 40 feet below. One of the workers became stuck on the frame of a bin, and as a result, emergency crews had to conduct a high-angle rescue in order to get him down.
Unfortunately, the incident resulted in one worker suffering fatal injuries. He was reported as being 56 years old. The worker who was rescued suffered critical injuries and was transported to the hospital by medical helicopter. His age was given as 26 years old. The accident was under investigation at the time of the report, and more details may be available at a later time.
